Back to my blog after a break.For now I`ll only share some information regarding the employment issue in Bangladesh along with some pictures that i have taken over times.

Unemployment rate hanging around 3.7%

Current number says that it`s 30 million

Every year 2.7 million young minds becoming eligible for work and only 0.7% of them get employment.

Hole getting big enough to swallow the nation.

Couple of day laborers on their way,one seemingly quite amused that his picture is being taken and the other one smoking away the burden of his age.If you are short of inspirations,they are the ones to follow.

I was stuck waiting long for an unoccupied rickshaw to come.Have to be thankful though,i would not be there to take this shot if one had come.Very interesting procedure to fish i must say,cause i hardly have a clue how that guy could see fishes through muddy water and managed to get at least one tiny fish with every strike of the thin stick he was holding.As far as i can assume,this muddy pond is used as a source of financial resource for them.Once in a while they come back to look for new ones to sell in the village market.It`s also possible that they just eat the fishes.

In the blazing sun,this woman carrying her sleepy boy took a stop to watch them fishing with a curiosity that confused me,and as minutes turned into half an hour i could tell that she forgot about her destination and the kid forgot more than that.They were down there with them,may be fishing in their minds-something to pour to the hungry heart.

A fisherman repairing his fishing net by the river while listening to folk songs on the radio.He gave us a short ride afterward to the other bank,and refused to take any money in exchange.

Meet Rupali Shagorkonna,her name translates somewhere close to the term ‘Silvery Seagirl’.Her real name is unknown.Unlike the alias suggests,Rupali Shagorkonna does not live by any sea,rather she lives by the great river Meghna.She moved there not so long ago,built her a hut and wrote her newly taken alias above the only door it has.This middle aged woman seems to like to keep things to herself,may be that is the reason she chose to live in a self-induced isolation from the nearby slums.In profession she is a vegetable seller and appears to be a completely independent woman despite being poverty struck.On a brighter note,her colorful clothing and makeup suggest that she successfully manages to satisfy her sense of narcissism and individualism.What Rupali Shagorkonna does may seem like an impossible task for other women living in that economic environment,that is,she never married and is completely self-dependent.
She is a lively person,an open mind and a soul as free as a bird.

This little fella works in a tea stall which is situated just beside the ticket counter of a bus service,which also happens to be quite reputed one in the area.So he`s always busy with so little time to be where he should have been.

No matter which part of Bangladesh you go,a streetside eatery with a swift handed,skilled cook preparing breads and snacks at one side of the entrance will not fail to grab your attention.
A rough estimation,there are more than half a million such eateries in Bangladesh featuring almost identical infrastructure and interior.Foods available in such an eatery are reasonably cheap,considering the fact that a large population greatly depend on them for regular meals.For instance,the breads featured in this photograph cost only around 4 taka($ 0.07) each!However;the food itself and the place are generally not hygienic enough to match the appetite of many.The staggering number of the eateries prove that they have able to come up with a solution for those who have little option to choose between where they eat,good food doesn’t always mean good price value.When you have limited money but feel like you could eat just about anything,you could turn to the street side king cook.
Go and take a seat.A busy bloke will come and split out a long list of available items in one single breath!

A pious old man is purchasing his needs from a street side grocery.

Even the spell of the most spectacular beauty wears off as time goes by.Everyday this man comes to the longest sea shore of the planet and does his job with the vast old sea behind his back to earn his meal.
